Thirteen days to Christmas, the United Kingdom is battling an epidemic of Avian Flu, the strain HN51. Woods Farm at Much Hoole, near Preston suffered a tragic loss of business into the run up to their busiest time of the year.

Patrick Haydon is a director of the family firm Midland Fisheries, and the chairman of the Fleetwood Fish Merchants Association (FFMA).
